3       NHS Wales Informatics Services: Evidence session with the Welsh Government

3.1 As part of the monitoring of this issue, the Committee held an evidence session with the Welsh Government to discuss progress being made on the implementation of the Committee’s recommendations.

3.2 Dr Andrew Goodall agreed to:

·         Share the job specification for the Chief Digital Officer when finalised and advise on the successful candidate, when appointed;

·         Explore the availability of My Health online when GP practices merge; and

·         Keep the Committee informed about the procurement for GP informatics systems following the recent cancellation of the contract.

4       Waste Management: Evidence Session with Natural Resources Wales

4.1 The Committee took evidence from Natural Resources Wales as part of its inquiry into Waste Management.

4.2 Becky Favager agreed to investigate the issue raised about distributed modular technology and how hydrogen can be used as an energy source for electric vehicles.
